To mark Truth and Reconciliation Week, our cluster of orange candles of various sizes symbolizes both the survivors of the residential schools and also those children who never returned home. An inukshuk is embedded in the cluster of candles. The human form of the piled stones represents hope and safety and celebrates a spirit of friendship and hospitality. The white rim of the plate reminds those of us who are settlers of our responsibility to build relationships with our indigenous siblings. We pray to God for the peace that only He can give to all his beloved children.
